This years Auburn Reunion started Thursday evening for me at Oscar Robert's "Open House".  Oscar has a Fantastic Restored Sinclair Service Station on Main Street in Auburn. His Open House welcomed owners of Glenn Pray Cars and Auburn Cord Duesenberg Club members again this year. Oscar is a Great Guy who has an obvious love of  history and automobiles. There were plenty of stories, old and new, shared throughout the evening. Oscars Auburn Phaeton is shown above (right). Two of Glenn Prays Dual Cowl Auburn 874 Phaetons (the 1st one and last one produced, number 16) were brought from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma by Doug Pray and Felix DeGeyter. Doug Pray is the current President of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Co. and Felix is the Manager.  The Silver Beige Auburn Phaeton (above center) belongs to Curt Schulze. Curt owns and operates "Midwest Auburn" an Auburn parts business. The L29 Cord is always a welcomed sight in Auburn. This White Classic belongs to Ken Clark. From Oscars place we motored down to 9th and Main Street where the historical and infamous Auburn Hotel resides. 9th Street and part of Main Street is reserved for the ACD Club throughout the ACD Festival. The "9th Street Gathering" is an ACD Club tradition. As you can imagine many more stories were traded late into the morning hours inside and outside of the Auburn Hotel

The Reunion does not leave much time for sleep with late night Thursdays and EARLY Friday mornings for the ACD Parts Swap Meet. But, we do not come to Auburn to sleep do we? The Swap Meet is held in the parking lot of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum  starting at 7:00 am, although there are many pre' 7:00 early birds anxious to get started with their search for those coveted Auburn, Cord and Duesenberg parts. The Swap Meet is usually over by noon. This years Swap Meet seemed bigger and busier than past years. Many vendors were boasting that Fridays numbers were some of their best. After a couple of trips through the Swap and a walk through the Museum we checked out the Auction Cars being offered by World Wide Auctions. This year their Auction took place in the NATMUS Museum which is situated on the property of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum. NATMUS is housed in the original L29 Cord assembly building
