2008 Replica Boattail Speedster produced by Speedster Motorcars.
This was our demo car that we have been using for shows. This
vehicle has almost every option that we have available for our
Auburns. It is painted with a House of Color Cobalt Candy Blue and
the chassis has been painted with the same color and is highlighted
with powder coated suspension and Wilwood cross-drilled brakes. This
car sits on our GEN II chassis that features full coil-over
suspension and a Ford 9" rear end.

Boattail just sold at Bonhams auction for over $400,000. This car
was purchased by the current owner from the original owner in
Scottsdale in 1988. This Boattail is built on a Ford chassis and

open - bodied Duesenberg designed besides the Weymann Speedster.
Featured in several Duesenberg books, she was part of the Don and
Sue Eller Collection. The chassis is number 2319. It originally
carried a limousine body (coachwork by Willoughby) which was
destroyed long ago. The engine, number J396, also came out of a

1937 Cord 812 S/C Convertible Coupe, often referred to as the
"Sportsman". A Large 1:12th scale plastic kit by AMT as part of their
Classic Masterpiece Series. Issued several years ago. I do not think
it is currently being produced. Builds up to be a really nice Cord.
